Fan of IT and a bit geeky, he graduated on July 2008 from ESPRIT-Tunsia as an IT Engeneer.
Pionneer in Tunisia in the video games industry he also dedicated some of his time to few NGOs that fights for freedom of speech.
He had landed in the video game ecosystem as a professional on 2004 by co-funding his first startup Tunisiagames that organised the “Electonic Sports Tunisian Cup” from 2005 to 2009. He also took part in the organisation board of the “Electonic Sports World Cup – ESWC” in Paris 2005 to 2007 and in California on 2008.
He launched the first video game studio in Tunisia : DigitalMania in 2012.
He’s now leading DigitalMania’s team composed by 20+ people and he’s taking part in the production process.
DigitalMania already released 35 games on Facebook and on mobile stores.
In 2013 Walid started being a mentor by succesfully helping other entrepreneurs setting up their startups and raising funds and very soon he ll launch an accelerator in Tunisia
